Caste Survey Reveals OBC, EBC, SC, and ST Constitutes 85% of Bihar's Population

The Bihar government has recently disclosed statistical data from its caste-based headcount conducted this year. The data showcases a noteworthy demographic makeup, with the Extremely Backward Classes (EBCs) and Other Backward Classes (OBCs) collectively representing 63% of Bihar's total population. In contrast, the "upper caste" groups within the Hindu community, traditionally seen as a key support base for the BJP, comprise just 10.6% of the population.
