ISRO’s inaugural solar mission Aditya L1 has accomplished its journey to the vicinity of the sun, reaching the Halo Orbit. In a tweet, ISRO announced the achievement, stating, “India, my objective has been achieved! Aditya-L1 has effectively entered the Halo orbit surrounding the L1 point.” On Saturday, January 6th, ISRO executed the final maneuver to place Aditya-L1–India’s maiden sun-focused observatory in space–into its designated orbit, approximately 1.5 million kilometers away from our planet.
