A car crash near the Goa border caused a major traffic jam, which played a significant role in helping the police track down the Bengaluru woman who committed the heinous act of killing her four-year-old son at a serviced apartment in Candolim. According to sources, the woman was trying to escape Goa but got caught in a four-hour delay at Chorla Ghat due to the accident. Strangely enough, this turned out to be a lucky break for the police as it would have been much harder to recover the child’s body had she reached Bengaluru. Situated at the convergence of the borders of Goa, Karnataka, and Maharashtra, Chorla Ghat is located northeast of Panaji, Goa, and approximately 55 kilometers from Belgaum in Karnataka.
