However, Tambula Sixers lost their chance to play in the final round as they failed to maintain sufficient net run rate. After this match result, Kandy Belgans became the last team to qualify for the finals of the Lanka Premier League. Dambulla Sixers, who were called to bat first in this match, lost all wickets in 20 overs and scored only 123 runs.
