Kolkata doctor murder case: No ‘gang rape’, Sanjay Roy sole accused in CBI remand note

The additional chief judicial magistrate (ACJM) court in Sealdah has sent the accused Sanjay Roy to 14 days of judicial custody. The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI), probing into the alleged rape and murder of a trainee doctor at RG Kar Medical College and Hospital in Kolkata last month, has not mentioned “gang rape” in its remand note submitted before a trial court in Kolkata on Friday, people aware of the development said.
