'Muslim bodies rally behind Waqf Bill; people spreading false narrative': Rijiju

The committee on the Waqf (Amendment) Bill, 2024 will hold informal discussions with various stakeholders in five states from September 26 to October 1. Union minister Kiren Rijiju on Monday said that some people are spreading false propaganda claiming the government will snatch Muslim lands through the Waqf (Amendment) Bill and called for an end to this ‘narrative,’ saying that many in the community have supported the bill.
