India, US sign MoU on critical minerals cooperation to reduce dependence on China

India and the United States on Thursday signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to expand and diversify the critical minerals supply chain, with an aim to reduce dependence on China, during a bilateral commercial dialogue in Washington DC. Both sides also discussed semiconductor supply chains, collaboration in and with third countries, incentivising innovation, including in clean energy, and promoting tourism, among other topics.
