Dust storm, rain hits Delhi-NCR in sudden weather change amid heatwave

The weather in Delhi: In the midst of a sweltering heatwave, Delhi and the national capital region (NCR) experienced a dust storm and light rainfall on Thursday. Rain and thunderstorms are expected throughout the day, according to the India Meteorological Department. It is predicted that the capital would see a maximum temperature of approximately 39 degrees Celsius during the day, with a low temperature of about 26 degrees Celsius.
The Central Pollution Control Board's data showed that Delhi's air quality index was in the "poor" category, with an AQI of 243 at 9 am. On Friday, the capital city is expected to see thunderstorms and rain, with a minimum temperature of 24 degrees Celsius, according to the weather office.
The meteorological service's most recent forecast stated, "Under the influence of Western Disturbance; rainfall along with thunderstorm and lightning, gusty/squally winds likely over Northwest India during 0th-11th April."
