Adani Green share price rises over 5% after company announces 30% increase in operational capacity

Following the delivery of an operating update for the fiscal year 2024–2025, Adani Green Energy shares surged more than 5% on Tuesday. According to the report, its operational capacity grew by 30% to 14.2 GW in 2024–2025 over the previous year. Furthermore, it stated that it would add an additional 1 GW, bringing its total operational capacity to 15.2 GW. Consequently, the shares of the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) surged up to 5.33 percent, reaching an intraday high of 941.40 naira.

The shares were still up 4.49 percent, or ₹40.10, at ₹933.80 each as of 12:45 p.m. Greenfield expansions of 3,309 MW, which included the commissioning of 2,710 MW of solar power projects, were the primary driver of Adani Green's capacity expansion to 14,243 MW. These projects are located in Andhra Pradesh (250 MW), Rajasthan (1,000 MW), Khavda, and Gujarat (1,460 MW).

The report states that as a result of all of this, energy sales increased by 28% to 27,969 million units in 2024–2025. The company's hybrid portfolio produced a CUF of 39.5 percent with 99.6 percent plant availability, the solar portfolio had a CUF of 24.8 percent with 99.5 percent plant availability, and the wind portfolio recorded a CUF of 27.2 percent with 95.9 percent plant availability.
