SC refuses to release Ranveer Allahbadia’s passport till India's Got Latent probe ends

YouTuber Ranveer Allahbadia's request to have his passport released after two weeks will be reviewed by the Supreme Court, the court announced on Tuesday. Tushar Mehta, the solicitor general, told the high court that the case's inquiry will probably conclude in two weeks, which prompted the court to make the statement.
Senior attorney Abhinav Chandrachud, speaking on behalf of Ranveer Allahbadia, argued in court that the requirement to deposit his passport should be changed because it interfered with his ability to make a living. According to the senior lawyer, Allahbadia had to fly overseas to conduct interviews with various individuals, necessitating multiple rounds of meetings.
The bench asked solicitor general Tushar Mehta, who represented the governments of Maharashtra and Assam, about the timeline for finishing the investigation, stating that Allahbadia's departure will undoubtedly impact it. Additionally, he pledged to uphold decency in his shows in an undertaking he filed with the Supreme Court.
