New Delhi: The external affairs ministry said on Saturday that Prime Minister Narendra Modi will go to Saudi Arabia the next week to further the two countries' relationship and share opinions on regional and global matters. This will be Modi's third trip to Saudi Arabia. In September 2023, Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman traveled to India to attend the G20 Summit and co-chair the inaugural bilateral Strategic Partnership Council meeting.
At the Crown Prince's request, Modi will visit Saudi Arabia from April 22 to 23. While there, he will meet with Mohammed bin Salman and other high-ranking officials in Jeddah. According to the government, the visit shows how much India values its bilateral relations with Saudi Arabia.
In addition to exchanging opinions on a range of regional and global topics, the visit would "offer an opportunity to further deepen and strengthen our multifaceted partnership," the statement stated.
