Nitish Kumar switches sides for ‘kursi’, his alliance with BJP opportunistic: Mallikarjun Kharge

On Sunday, Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge unleashed a stinging attack on Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, accusing him of switching political sides purely for 'kursi' (chair) and describing the JD(U)-BJP coalition in Bihar as "opportunistic". Speaking at the Congress's 'Jai Bapu, Jai Bhim, Jai Samvidhan' rally at Dalsagar stadium in Buxar, Kharge urged Bihar residents to vote out the NDA government in the approaching assembly elections later this year.
"Nitish Kumar's partnership with the BJP is opportunistic. It is bad for the citizens of the state. Nitish Kumar switches sides just for 'kursi' (CM's position). "The JD(U) chief has joined forces with the ideology that killed Mahatma Gandhi," he claimed. Kharge also mentioned the recent Parliament session, claiming that the administration focused on contentious matters rather than growth.
"The Parliament's budget session recently ended. The Waqf Bill was the most widely discussed topic during that session. Modi Ji and other BJP officials believe that if votes can be acquired by disparaging Hindus and Muslims and fooling the public, there is no reason to work. He said.
