UPSC Civil Services Examination 2024 final results declared; Shakti Dubey secures first rank

The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) on Tuesday revealed the final results of the Civil Services Examination (CSE) 2024. Shakti Dubey has emerged as the UPSC CSE 2024 winner, followed by Harshita Goyal in second and Dongre Archit Parag in third. Candidates who took the exam can see their results on the official UPSC website.
In total, 1,009 individuals have been chosen for appointment to different prestigious services, including the Indian Administrative Service (IAS), Indian Foreign Service (IFS), Indian Police Service (IPS), and other Group 'A' and Group 'B' Central Services in multiple categories. The UPSC conducts the civil services test annually in three parts - preliminary, main, and interview - to select officers from the Indian Administrative Service (IAS), Indian Foreign Service (IFS), and Indian Police Service (IPS), among others.
The civil services (preliminary) test for 2024 was held on June 16 last year. This test drew a total of 9,92,599 applications, with 5,83,213 candidates taking part. A total of 14,627 candidates qualified to take the written (main) examination, which was held in September 2024. 2,845 individuals qualified for the personality test or interview.
The top five qualified candidates include three women and two males.
