Jyothi, the mother of Vikas Kumar, who was allegedly assaulted by an Indian Air Force (IAF) personnel in Bengaluru, Karnataka, on Monday morning, claims her son was beaten, bitten, and thrown onto the road. She further claimed that the cop tried to destroy his son's cell phone and is attempting to turn the case against him.
"He was beaten, bitten, thrown onto the road — they even tried to destroy his mobile phone. We filed a case against the cop charged with attempted murder," the mother told PTI. Vikas Kumar, a team leader at a software company's call center in the city, was detained when Wing Commander Shiladitya Bose claimed that he was beaten and verbally harassed by a gang of Kannada-speaking people who chased him on a bike.
The event occurred on Monday, while Bose was on his way to the airport with his wife, Squadron Leader Madhumita Dutta. Both are employed by the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO). The police claimed that the biker was driving aggressively and attempted to collide with the automobile carrying his wife. He later published a video on X in which he was seen with blood on his face and accused the rider of abusing them in Kannada.
