MP: Eight members of a family killed in Damoh road accident

According to authorities, eight members of a family were killed and five others were injured when their SUV plummeted into a 20-foot-deep ditch in Madhya Pradesh's Damoh district on Tuesday morning. The casualties were six women and two children from Bhitafuller village in Jabalpur district, Madhya Pradesh.
"Fifteen members of a Jabalpur family were driving back from Bandakpur after visiting Jatashankar Dham in their Bolero automobile. At around 11 a.m., the driver lost control and the car crashed into a ditch near Mahadev Ghat in Damoh's Banwar Chowki region," said sub-divisional magistrate Saurabh Gandharva.
After onlookers called the police, they rushed to the scene with an ambulance. Six people, including two children, perished on the scene, while two died from their injuries while receiving care at the Damoh district hospital. The five injured were referred to Jabalpur Medical College. According to the SDM, the injured are in stable condition.
