Imphal /New Delhi: A two-year-old child from a poorly connected isolated village in Manipur's Kamjong district was rescued and evacuated by the Assam Rifles on Monday, according to a statement. Miss Chuishut, a little girl from Grihang hamlet in one of Manipur's most remote areas, slipped into a water tank by accident at 5.40 a.m. on Monday.
The locals had little prospect of receiving prompt medical care due to the village's remote location and lack of good roadways, according to the report. The scenario changed when the Assam Rifles responded to a distress call and swiftly sent soldiers and medical staff to the area, according to the statement. They arrived at the village just in time and administered first aid to the child.
According to the statement, the soldiers then summoned a military helicopter for evacuation to the Assam Rifles Military Hospital in Imphal, the state capital. Despite the logistical hurdles, seamless cooperation meant that the youngster was in professional care within hours of the accident, according to the report.
