Following the Pahalgam terror attack, police and authorities in Jammu and Kashmir and across India launched security operations, including a crackdown on suspects linked to terrorist networks and an ultimatum to Pakistani nationals who have been asked to leave India.

Police in Anantnag, Jammu and Kashmir, together with the Army, CRPF, and other security personnel, conducted massive search and cordon operations on Saturday to safeguard public safety and against terrorism, according to news agency ANI.

Security forces have conducted multiple raids throughout the district. So far, 175 people have been held for interrogation in connection with networks that support terrorist activity. The additional security follows the April 22 shooting of 26 civilians, predominantly tourists, at the Baisaran meadow in Pahalgam. The terrorist strike also resulted in several injuries.
