On Sunday, a Level-3 fire broke out at the Enforcement Directorate (ED) office in Maharashtra's Mumbai, destroying numerous crucial records, according to officials. A fire broke out at the Kaiser-I-Hind building in Mumbai's Ballard Estate. There were no casualties reported.

According to a news report from the ANI agency, the fire started about 2:30 a.m. and was escalated to level 3 at 4:21 a.m. A level-3 classification is usually reserved for catastrophic flames. According to Mumbai Fire Brigade Chief Fire Officer Ravindra Ambulgekar, there was a category 3 fire that took some time to suppress due to the strong smoke.

"It was a level three fire. Due to the thick smoke, it took some time to put out the fire. Because the region was large, the situation was brought under control from all directions," he stated. Ambulgekar further stated that the fire caused a significant loss of property in the Enforcement Directorate office, including furniture and vital records.
