21 killed, six injured in boiler blast at illegal factory in Gujarat

An illegal fireworks factory godown on Dhunva Road in Deesa town of Banaskantha district, Gujarat, was destroyed by fire on Tuesday morning due to a boiler explosion, leaving 21 persons dead and six injured. It turned out that the factory's December application to renew its license was denied after the police received a negative report following an examination in which they discovered no safety precautions.
Late on Tuesday, district collector Mihir Patel said that six people had been injured, and 21 people had died. "Everyone who passed away was originally from Madhya Pradesh's Harda and Dewas districts," he stated. Rahul Gandhi, the head of the Congress, demanded the most severe punishment for those involved and asked for a prompt probe.
Poor workers who flee their homes in quest of a living are killed by the regular fires and explosions that occur in these plants. In a post on X, he stated that "strict enforcement of safety regulations and clear accountability for those responsible are necessary to prevent such tragedies."
