Meerut murder: Family of victim Saurabh will adopt accused wife Muskan's baby if it's his child

Muskan Rastogi, who is accused of killing her husband Saurabh Rajput and her boyfriend Sahil Shukla in Meerut, Uttar Pradesh, a day after test results confirmed the pregnancy, said on Tuesday that he would be happy to adopt and raise the child if Rajput is found to be the father. Muskan took a preliminary test on Monday, and the results confirmed her pregnancy, according to Chief Medical Officer Dr. Ashok Kataria.
Due to their claimed involvement in Saurabh Rajput's murder, Muskan and Sahil are both being held in different barracks at the Meerut district jail. The brother of the deceased victim, Bablu Rajput, told reporters, "If the child is of my brother Saurabh's, we will adopt and raise the child," according to a report from news agency PTI, however Muskan's family has not yet responded or commented on her pregnancy.
On March 4, Rajput's wife Muskan and her lover Sahil poisoned him and fatally stabbed him. Later, the two dismembered his body into several pieces and concealed it inside the house in a blue barrel filled with cement.
