‘If India attacks Pakistan…’: Khalistani separatist Gurpatwant Pannu's message for Sikh soldiers

Gurpatwant Singh Pannu, a pro-Khalistan separatist, has urged Sikh soldiers in India's army not to fight for the country if it goes to war with Pakistan. The leader of 'Sikhs for Justice' further stated that Punjabis on the Indian side of the border 'would serve langar' to the Pakistani troops in the event of a battle. "If India attacks Pakistan, it will be the last battle for India and Modi. The Punjabis on the Indian side would offer langar to the Pakistani troops," Pannu declared in a video message, according to Dawn.
In his appeal to the Sikh warriors, Pannu stated that Pakistan was not an enemy but rather a friendly state that will be 'our neighbour once we liberate Punjab'. 'Now is the moment to reject Narendra Modi's jingoistic war. Do not battle against Pakistan. Pakistan isn't your opponent. Pakistan will be and is a friendly country to the Sikhs and Khalistan.
"When we liberate Punjab, Pakistan will be our neighbor," the separatist concluded. Tensions between India and Pakistan have been high after last week's devastating Pahalgam terror assault, which murdered 26 people in the Jammu and Kashmir vacation town, 25 of whom were Indian.
