MP Politician Caught in Obscene Act on Highway Granted Bail

Manoharlal Dhakad, seen in a viral video in a compromising position with a woman on the Delhi-Mumbai highway, was granted bail easily as the FIR against him included only bailable offences.

Manoharlal Dhakad, a politician from Madhya Pradesh's Mandsaur district who was caught on CCTV engaging in an obscene act with a woman on the Delhi-Mumbai highway, was granted bail by a court on Monday.

Dhakad could obtain bail easily as all the sections under which the FIR was registered against him were bailable.

The police had filed an FIR against Dhakad and a co-accused under sections 296 (obscene acts), 285 (danger or obstruction in public ways or lines of navigation) and 3(5) (joint criminal liability) of the Bharatiya Nyay Sanhita (BNS).
