Congress MP Charanjit Channi questions surgical strikes, '56-inch chest' act; BJP respond

Charanjit Singh Channi, a Congress MP and former Punjab chief minister, said on Friday that the government should take strong and decisive action against Pakistan in response to the recent terror attack in Pahalgam, and questioned the authenticity of the 2019 surgical strikes, saying no one had seen any evidence of them.
Channi told a press conference following the Congress Working Committee meeting that the government had done nothing despite the fact that the incident occurred 10 days ago. "We demand concrete steps, and the entire country is watching to see what action will be taken against Pakistan," he commented. "People are waiting for the alleged 56-inch chest to act. "We want the government to respond quickly and deliver results," he said. Channi referred to the 2019 Pulwama attack, in which 40 CRPF troops were murdered, and claimed that the administration manipulated the incident to justify retaliation.
"But we've never seen where the strikes were carried out in Pakistan, where individuals were murdered. Will no one know if someone detonates a bomb in our country? They claim to have carried out surgical attacks against Pakistan, yet nothing has transpired. "Surgical strikes were not seen anywhere, and no one knew about them," he stated.
