According to the Bengaluru woman who was allegedly molested at Eco World IT Park, the crime happened at approximately 11:40 p.m. while she was strolling close to the IT park's main entrance. Her police complaint claims that the males abused her several times before escaping after following her on a motorcycle.
"I couldn't understand. Perhaps someone was riding a car carelessly, I reasoned. However, the same event occurred again, more intensely. Then I was certain that this was being done on purpose. On the third occasion, I saw the man make a U-turn and approach me. She claimed that her calls for assistance remained unanswered even though she was in a crowded business district with cars, pedestrians, and security personnel.
"I yelled for assistance, pulled over drivers, and stopped others, but nobody came to my aid." The most unexpected thing is that. "The fact that this occurred in an area with so many security guards and surveillance cameras... is evidence that, despite all of our safety precautions, there is a significant gap in the way people are taught to view one another and to respect one another's boundaries," she told police.
