In a subtle jab at Europe, External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar said Sunday that India is "looking for partners, not preachers" and that Europe is finding it difficult to adjust to the changing multipolar global order. According to S. Jaishankar, Europe is struggling to adapt to the changing global landscape and needs to reevaluate its strategy if it is to have a meaningful working relationship with India.

We search for partners rather than preachers when we look at the world. especially those who preach overseas but don't live it out at home. A portion of Europe continues to struggle with the issue. Europe has reached a point when it needs to face reality. We will have to wait and see if they can step up or not. At the Arctic Circle India Forum 2025 in New Delhi, Jaishankar stated, "If we have to build a partnership, there must be some understanding, sensitivity, mutuality of interest, and a realization of how the world works."

Jaishankar emphasized India's growing interest in the polar areas during the meeting, noting that the nation has had a presence in Antarctica for more than 40 years and has lately increased its Arctic commitment through international alliances and a dedicated policy.
