Live updates on the Pahalgam attack news: According to official sources, the Border Security Force (BSF) captured a Pakistani Ranger from the India-Pakistan border in Rajasthan and detained him. The development occurs almost two weeks after Pakistan arrested Purnam Kumar Shaw, a BSF jawan. India has registered a strong protest, but Pakistan has refused to turn him over.

Munir Ahmed, a CRPF trooper who was fired, claimed that he only got married to Minal Khan, a Pakistani woman, last year after receiving approval from the force's headquarters. Ahmed made the decision to contest his termination due to "national security." Pakistani troops broke the ceasefire in multiple areas along the border, the Indian army claimed on Sunday. In Jammu and Kashmir, unprovoked small weapons fire was recorded in the areas across the Line of Control opposite Kupwara, Baramulla, Poonch, Rajauri, Mendhar, Naushera, Sunderbani, and Akhnoor.

The infractions were addressed "promptly and proportionately" by Indian soldiers. Muhammad Khalid Jamali, Pakistan's ambassador to Russia, stated separately to Russian state media RT that his nation will employ its "full spectrum of power" in the event of an Indian strike. The envoy also restated Islamabad's claim that any attempt to impede the Indus River's water flow will be seen as an act of war.
