The Badrinath temple is decked out with 15 tons of flowers as the gates reopen to worshippers today

Badrinath: Following a six-month hiatus, the entrances to the Badrinath shrine in the Chamoli district of Uttarakhand were reopened to worshippers on Sunday. At six in the morning, the temple devoted to Lord Vishnu opened its doors amid vedic hymns. The Indian Army performed devotional music during the event, and the temple was decked out with fifteen tons of flowers of various kinds.
Mahendra Bhatt, the president of the state unit of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), Tehri MLA Kishore Upadhyay, and Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami were also in attendance. Rawal, Dharmadhikari, Vedpathis, and the main priest of Badrinath Dham conducted the first special devotion in the temple.
In addition to the main temple, worshipers can now enter the Ganesh, Ghantakarna, Adi Kedareshwar, Adi Guru Shankaracharya, and Mata Murti temples located in the Badrinath Dham. According to officials here, the local government has made all the required arrangements to ensure a safe and easy trip to the Dham.
