South Africa opener Aiden Markram has recovered from a first innings duck to slam a crucial half-century in the second innings against Australia in the World Test Championship (WTC) 2025 final. On the other end, SA captain Temba Bavuma is battling through injury and struggling to run properly. South Africa have reached 141/2 after 36.1 overs, chasing 282 in order to clinch their first WTC title. Earlier in the day, a gritty fifty by Mitchell Starc helped Australia set a challenging target for SA. Pacer Kagiso Rabada took four more wickets, taking his match tally to nine. Australia are aiming to win their second WTC title in a row.
