PM Modi Holds Mega Roadshow in Bhubaneswar, Launches Projects Worth ₹18,600 Crore

Bhubaneswar (Odisha), June 20 — Prime Minister Narendra Modi held a grand roadshow in Bhubaneswar on Friday, marking a significant day for Odisha as he launched and laid foundation stones for development projects worth over ₹18,600 crore. These initiatives span key sectors such as drinking water, irrigation, health and agricultural infrastructure, rural connectivity, highways, and a new railway line.

At a state-level function in Janta Maidan, PM Modi also unveiled the Odisha Vision Document, a strategic roadmap for the state's future. The vision aligns with landmark years—2036, when Odisha will celebrate 100 years as India’s first linguistic state, and 2047, marking India’s centenary of independence. The document targets transforming Odisha into a $500 billion economy by 2036 and $1.5 trillion by 2047.

Earlier in the day, addressing a rally in Siwan, Bihar, PM Modi launched a scathing attack on the opposition, accusing the Congress and RJD of holding Bihar back with corruption and lawlessness. “Congress and RJD are anti-investment and anti-Bihar. They cannot win the trust of Biharis,” he said. He also criticized the INDIA bloc for undermining Bihar’s self-respect.

Further boosting Bihar’s development, PM Modi inaugurated and laid foundation stones for several projects, including the new Vaishali-Deoria railway line, a Vande Bharat Express between Patliputra and Gorakhpur, and water and power sector initiatives.
