The all-party delegations dispatched globally to explain Operation Sindoor are now returning, with the first delegation, led by Jay Panda, set to land in Delhi tomorrow. Sources reveal that Prime Minister Narendra Modi will meet with the members of all delegations upon their return, with the meeting likely scheduled for June 9 or 10.

Before meeting the Prime Minister, the delegations will brief External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar on their discussions with world leaders. The team led by Baijayant Panda is scheduled to meet Jaishankar at 2:30 pm. Panda’s delegation visited Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Kuwait, and Algeria. Meanwhile, the delegation headed by Shrikant Shinde will meet the External Affairs Minister on June 6 at 7:30 pm.

Sanjay Jha’s delegation is expected to arrive in Delhi on June 3 at 9:30 pm, followed by Shinde’s team the next morning.

In the wake of Operation Sindoor — India’s response to the terror attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir on April 22 that claimed 26 lives, and subsequent Pakistani aggression — seven delegations were sent worldwide to explain India’s position.

Between May 7 and May 10, Pakistan launched a series of drone and missile attacks, all successfully intercepted by India’s multi-layered air defense system. These were some of the most intense clashes in decades, with both nations exchanging air, drone, missile strikes, as well as artillery and small arms fire along the border.

On May 31, India’s armed forces acknowledged, for the first time, losing an unspecified number of fighter jets in the conflict. However, Chief of Defence Staff Anil Chauhan dismissed Pakistan’s claims of shooting down six Indian jets.

Following these events, India sent seven cross-party delegations worldwide to clarify Operation Sindoor and India’s stance on Pakistan-backed terror activities.
