Los Angeles – Hollywood star Vin Diesel has revealed his three conditions for the final installment of the Fast & Furious saga, with one key demand being the return of Brian O'Connor’s character, originally played by the late Paul Walker.
Speaking at FuelFest in Southern California, the 57-year-old actor confirmed that Universal Studios is aiming to release the eleventh and final Fast & Furious film in April 2027. However, Diesel said he would only agree under three specific terms.
“Just yesterday, I was with Universal Studios… they said, ‘Vin, can we please release the finale of Fast & Furious in April 2027?’ I said yes — but only if we return to LA, bring back the street racing culture, and most importantly, reunite Dom with Brian O’Connor,” Diesel told the crowd.
Brian O’Connor, a fan-favorite character, was portrayed by Paul Walker until the actor’s tragic death in 2013 during the production of Fast & Furious 7. The filmmakers used visual effects and the help of Walker’s brothers, Cody and Caleb, to complete the film.
The Fast & Furious franchise spans 10 main films, a spin-off (Hobbs & Shaw), two short films, and a Netflix animated series (Spy Racers). The most recent entry, Fast X (2023), directed by Louis Leterrier, starred Diesel alongside Michelle Rodriguez, Jason Momoa, and Alan Ritchson.
As the saga races toward its finale, Diesel’s heartfelt wish to honor Paul Walker’s legacy underscores the emotional weight behind one of Hollywood’s most iconic action series.
