Fresh CCTV footage has surfaced in the ongoing investigation of the Patna hospital shooting, revealing the moments after the murder of Chandan Mishra. Mishra, who was out on parole for medical treatment and facing murder charges himself, was gunned down by a group of assailants at Paras Hospital.
The new video, which has been widely shared on social media, shows three shooters on a bike near the scene, with one of them raising his hands in the air while holding a firearm—appearing to celebrate the killing. Moments later, a second bike carrying three more individuals, reportedly also involved in the attack, is seen crossing the area.
While the authenticity of the footage is yet to be independently confirmed, police officials have made significant progress. Jitendra Rana, Inspector General (Central Range, Patna), confirmed to PTI that all six shooters involved in the killing have been identified.
“Multiple police teams have been deployed. At least six individuals have been detained from Patna and Buxar in connection with the case,” IG Rana added.
Authorities are now working to determine the motive behind the murder, which appears to be a planned hit despite the high-security environment at the hospital.
