Ex-Worker Alleges Mass Graves at Karnataka's Dharmasthala Temple
New Delhi, India – In a chilling revelation, a 48-year-old Dalit man has come forward with explosive allegations linking Karnataka’s famed Dharmasthala temple to a series of gruesome crimes.
The former sanitation worker, who claims to have been tormented by guilt and fear for over three decades, approached police on July 3 after emerging from 12 years in hiding. Speaking under court protection, he alleged that during his tenure at the temple, he was forced to bury hundreds of bodies — including those of children.
The man, whose identity remains undisclosed as per legal protections for witnesses, described his decision as an attempt to unburden a “heavy heart” and confront the trauma that has haunted him for years.
The case has sparked national outrage and is expected to trigger a broader investigation into the temple town's dark underbelly.
