Fans impressed with Sara's performance, miss Irrfan

Metro In Dino’, which hit theatres today (July 4), has sparked mixed reactions on social media. While many appreciated the film's emotional depth and music, others felt it lacked freshness.
One aspect most agreed on, however, was Sara Ali Khan’s performance, which has been receiving widespread praise from viewers on X (formerly Twitter). Many users lauded her for showing growth as an actor and delivering an impactful performance.
Social media buzz ranged from enthusiastic applause to cautious criticism. A section of users expressed nostalgia and support for the return of feel-good romantic comedies in Bollywood.
"We are back, baby, we are back! What a movie! Please continue to make these rom-coms. Metro In Dino is a great film. I loved it very much. Every actor did great work. No words for Pritam and his gang—truly magical. A much-needed movie for Bollywood,” wrote one user.
On the other hand, some found the storyline predictable, though they acknowledged the film's emotional moments and soulful soundtrack composed by Pritam.
As reviews continue to pour in, it remains to be seen how Metro In Dino performs at the box office—but it’s clear that it has rekindled the rom-com spark for many Hindi cinema lovers.
