Stocks to buy for the short term: The Indian stock market ended higher on Monday, August 11, with the Sensex and Nifty 50 gaining nearly 1 percent each. The Nifty closed at 24,585, crossing the 24,500 mark on short covering and easing geopolitical tensions.

Experts believe that if the index moves above 24,650 and holds, it could rise further to 24,850 or beyond. Nilesh Jain from Centrum Broking mentioned that the Nifty regained its 100-day moving average at 24,500, which is now an important support level, with another support at 24,340. He expects a possible pullback toward 24,750, although the broader trend remains weak.

Vishnu Kant Upadhyay of Master Capital Services and Amruta Shinde of Choice Broking have recommended five stocks to buy for the next two to three weeks. Their suggestions include Eternal, Hindustan Unilever, and PB Fintech, with specific target prices and stop-loss levels.
