Oracle to cut US, India OCI jobs to boost AI expansion plans

Oracle is set to lay off employees from its OCI (Oracle Cloud Infrastructure) teams in both the US and India as part of a strategic move to reallocate resources toward artificial intelligence expansion.
The decision comes amid intensifying competition in the AI space, with Oracle aiming to strengthen its position against tech giants like Microsoft, Google, and Amazon. By redirecting funds and manpower toward AI-focused initiatives, the company hopes to accelerate innovation in cloud-based AI services and infrastructure.
