Acquitted in the 2008 Malegaon blast case, former BJP MP Sadhvi Pragya Singh Thakur has claimed she was forced to name Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath during the investigation. She stated that she faced severe torture for refusing to do so.

"Yes, I was forced. I didn't give in to the pressure and didn't falsely name anyone. That's why I was tortured a lot," she said on Sunday.

Sadhvi Pragya mentioned that she had submitted a written statement detailing whose names she was asked to take under pressure during the investigation.

Her statement comes just days after a special NIA court acquitted her and six others in the Malegaon case.

She described the court’s verdict as a victory for Hindu values, traditions, and the nation. "It’s a win for Bhagawa, Sanatana, and Rashtra. I faced many hardships, but I will continue to serve the country," she said, according to ANI.

In a fresh statement to the media, Sadhvi Pragya said that those who once spoke of "saffron terror" have now been proven wrong. "The court's decision has exposed those people. The society and the country have given them a strong reply."

She added that this decision is a strong rebuttal to those who used terms like "saffron terror" and "Hindu terror". She criticized former Maharashtra Chief Minister Prithviraj Chavan and others for using such labels, saying they belong to the same mindset and are all part of the Congress party.

Sadhvi Pragya concluded by saying that truth and righteousness had triumphed. "Dharma and truth were with us, so victory was certain. Satyameva Jayate. I had said this earlier, and now it has come true. The nation has always stood by Dharma and truth, and it always will."
