CBDT Extends FY 2024-25 Tax Audit Report Deadline

The Central Board of Direct Taxes (CBDT) has extended the due date for filing the income tax audit report for the financial year 2024-25. Originally set for September 30, 2025, the new deadline has been moved to October 31, 2025. This extension provides additional time for taxpayers and auditors to complete the necessary compliance requirements.
The move is aimed at easing the burden on businesses and professionals, ensuring accurate reporting and adherence to tax regulations. Experts suggest that taxpayers should use this additional time to review their financial statements carefully and ensure all audit reports are filed correctly to avoid penalties.
