"Not ours": Days after Donald Trump praised assistance, Pakistan withdraws its plan for Gaza

US President Donald Trump's 20 points in his plan to stop the war in Gaza, according to Pakistan's deputy prime minister Ishaq Dar, did not align with a draft that a coalition of Muslim-majority nations provided to him on Friday. Days after Trump commended Islamabad for backing his Gaza plan, Dar made his remarks before the Pakistan National Assembly.
The 20 points that Trump has made public are... not the same as ours, as I have stated. In comments to Pakistani MPs, Dar stated, "I say that some changes have been made in it, in the draft we had," according to Reuters. During a meeting with Trump on September 22, the group had suggested a complete Israeli pullout from Gaza; however, his plan calls for a partial Israeli withdrawal in order to prepare for the release of the remaining hostages held by Palestinian Hamas militants.
Shehbaz Sharif, the prime minister of Pakistan, had already praised Trump's proposal. While in travel, Sharif responded broadly to Trump's more generic social media message, Dar said. Dar, who is also the foreign minister of Pakistan, said that Trump promised the eight countries that he would not permit Israel to annex the occupied West Bank, as called for by far-right supporters of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu in his ruling coalition.
