When they were returning from the Durga Puja fair at Kasba, the accident occurred between the Kasba and Purnea junction under North Frontier Railways (NF Railways) at approximately five in the morning, according to the railway authorities. According to reports, the deceased worked as laborers at a Purnean makhana processing facility.
Munna Kumar, the station supervisor of the Purnea railway junction, confirmed the occurrence, saying, "They were run over by Vande Bharat near Madarghat early in the morning." Three youngsters perished at the scene, while one passed away while receiving treatment at the GMCH Purnea.
