Bengaluru: The Special inquiry Team (SIT) looking into the alleged string of killings, sexual assaults, and covert burials in Dharmasthala has been ordered to wrap up its inquiry as soon as possible and provide a thorough report, Karnataka Home Minister G. Parameshwara stated on Monday.
Parameshwara told reporters that although the state government wants the inquiry finished quickly, the SIT has not been given a timeline. "We have requested that the final report be submitted as soon as possible, but we have not specified when. We've instructed them to finish the job as soon as possible. We have just requested them to complete the investigation as fast as possible; we cannot give them instructions on it," he stated.
The minister stated that a number of technical processes, such as chemical and DNA studies that are crucial to the investigation, are still pending. "Work is being done. Certain analyses, such as chemical and DNA analysis, must be performed. We can't force these since they need time. There are protocols. We have prioritized and requested the report from the Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL) as soon as possible," Parameshwara stated.
