New UPI rule: All autopay requirements will soon be visible to users on any app

Users may now view all active UPI mandates in any app they choose thanks to an improved infrastructure that the National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI) has implemented. It will also be possible for users to transfer mandates between UPI apps.

Additionally, it will allow merchants to execute and transmit UPI autopay mandates however they see fit through their preferred Payee PSP. Members must be using the UPI autopay feature to activate the updated framework by December 31, 2025, according to the most recent NPCI circular, which was issued on October 7.

Users will be able to identify which frequent payments are being made via UPI on any app once this goes into effect. The user can view both of these obligations on any app of their choosing, for example, if there is an active payment on Google Pay and another on PhonePe. Their financial planning will be streamlined and aided by this.
