PM Modi to Inaugurate ₹14,260-Crore Projects in Chhattisgarh
Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate and lay foundation stones for development projects worth ₹14,260 crore on November 1, 2025, as Chhattisgarh marks its 25th state foundation day. The package spans roads, industry, healthcare, energy and education, and includes 12 new Start-Up Village Entrepreneurship Programme (SVEP) blocks across nine districts to boost rural livelihoods and micro-enterprise.
Key infrastructure initiatives include a four-lane greenfield highway from Pathalgaon–Kunkuri to the Chhattisgarh–Jharkhand border under Bharatmala estimated at ₹3,150 crore, upgrades to NH-130D linking Bastar and Narayanpur, and the 489-km Nagpur–Jharsuguda Natural Gas Pipeline costing about ₹1,950 crore that will connect 11 districts to the national gas grid. The energy sector allocation also covers nine new power substations worth around ₹480 crore and a new petroleum oil depot by Hindustan Petroleum with 54,000-kilolitre storage capacity valued at over ₹460 crore.
Modi will also inaugurate health and education projects, including five government medical colleges and the Government Ayurveda College and Hospital in Bilaspur, as well as a pharmaceutical park and two Smart Industrial Areas to catalyse manufacturing and jobs. Ceremonial highlights include the inauguration of Shanti Shikhar by the Brahma Kumaris, unveiling of Atal Bihari Vajpayee’s statue at the new assembly building, and a cultural programme at the Rajat Mahotsav. Officials say the combined investment is intended to strengthen regional connectivity, spur industrial growth, bolster healthcare access and expand energy security in tribal and hinterland districts.
