PM Modi Ayodhya Ram Mandir Dhwajarohan Completion Ceremony
The ancient spiritual city of Ayodhya witnessed another historic milestone today as Prime Minister Narendra Modi ceremonially hoisted the sacred saffron flag, known as the Dhwaja, atop the Shikhar (spire) of the Shri Ram Janmbhoomi Temple. This pivotal event, termed Dhwajarohan Utsav, is considered the formal declaration of the main temple’s completion of construction, a momentous occasion falling less than two years after the Pran Pratishtha ceremony.
The day’s extensive schedule underscored the profound cultural and spiritual significance of the Prime Minister’s visit. Ahead of the main flag-hoisting ceremony, which occurred during the highly auspicious Abhijit Muhurat around noon, PM Modi performed a series of significant darshans and pujas. His morning began with a visit to the Saptmandir complex, a unique cluster housing shrines dedicated to the seven great sages and spiritual figures crucial to the Ramayana narrative, including Maharshi Valmiki, Devi Ahilya, and Mata Shabari. Following this, he offered prayers at the Sheshavtar Mandir and the Mata Annapurna Mandir, emphasizing the holistic spiritual experience within the vast temple precinct.
