The investigation into the deadly Delhi Red Fort blast has led authorities to a chilling discovery at a reputable academic institution, resulting in the registration of multiple First Information Reports (FIRs) against Al-Falah University in Faridabad. The university is now at the epicenter of a dual crisis: a national security probe into its faculty’s alleged links to a sophisticated “white-collar terror module,” and a parallel regulatory scandal concerning accreditation fraud and financial oversight.

The primary FIRs are linked to the university’s employees, notably three doctors—including the prime suspect in the car blast, Dr. Umar Un Nabi, and his associate Dr. Muzammil Ahmad Ganaie—who were teaching MBBS programs. These arrests exposed a sprawling, inter-state terror network allegedly supported by foreign handlers and proscribed outfits like Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM).

The most staggering revelation was the recovery of nearly 3,000 kilograms of explosive materials—including ammonium nitrate and other components for Improvised Explosive Devices (IEDs)—from rented rooms near the university’s Dhauj campus. Investigators believe these locations were effectively used as covert storage depots and planning hubs. The plot, detailed through coded notebooks and digital communication, suggested plans for multiple, coordinated attacks in various cities, highlighting the meticulous and professional nature of the accused.

The FIRs related to the terror module focus not only on the immediate conspiracy but also on the institutional failure to conduct adequate background checks and maintain proper oversight of faculty members, some of whom had dubious records, including one previously dismissed by the J&K administration for alleged secessionist propaganda.
