Shiv Sena MLA expresses regret over comments on police after CM Fadnavis' rebuke

Shiv Sena MLA Sanjay Gaikwad apologized on Sunday for his offensive remarks about police after being chastised by Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, who threatened legal action if the legislator did not change his language in the future. Gaikwad stated that his views were based on personal experience and had no purpose of demoralizing the police force.

"I heard Devendra ji is furious about it (the statements). Shinde saheb, the deputy chief minister, also called me. My words were not intended to discourage or offend the cops. "I only shared my experiences, and if my remarks embarrassed the Maharashtra government or state police, I apologize," Gaikwad added.

Fadnavis, who oversees the Home Department, has conveyed his unhappiness. He stated he'd talk to Shinde. "It is inappropriate to make such remarks about the cops. I'll tell Shinde saheb to instill some sense in Gaikwad. "If he speaks like this frequently, we will take action," Fadnavis stated.
