India-Nepal sign MoUs for 10 projects in education, health, culture sectors

According to a statement released by the Indian Embassy in Kathmandu, on Tuesday, Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) were signed by the Embassy, the Ministry of Federal Affairs and General Administration, and the Project Implementing Agencies of the Government of Nepal to carry out 10 High Impact Community Development Projects (HICDPs) in Nepal under the grant assistance of the Government of India in the Education, Health, and Culture Sectors at a total cost of NRs.625.00 million.

According to the Embassy's statement, the execution of these High Impact Community Development Projects (HICDPs) will contribute to the improvement of Nepal's cultural, medical, and educational infrastructure.

The Embassy noted that as close neighbours, India and Nepal are engaged in wide-ranging and multi-sectoral cooperation. The implementation of HICDPs reflects the continued support of the government of India in bolstering the efforts of the government of Nepal to grow and develop its people by augmenting infrastructure in priority sectors.
