Ukraine Launches Large-Scale Drone Strike on Russian Airbases, Military Jets
Earlier on Sunday, a tragic train derailment near the Ukraine border left seven people dead and around 30 others injured. Moscow Railway attributed the incident and the bridge collapse to “illegal interference in transport operations.”
The derailment came just before a large-scale drone attack reportedly launched by Ukraine, during which the Ukrainian Air Force claimed Russia had fired approximately 109 drones and five missiles across Ukraine overnight.
Peace Talks Set for Monday
Amid the escalating violence, Russia and Ukraine are scheduled to begin ceasefire negotiations on Monday in Istanbul, Turkey. However, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy expressed doubts about Russia’s sincerity ahead of the talks.
“For the meeting to be meaningful, its agenda must be clear, and the negotiations must be properly prepared,” Zelenskyy stated, questioning Moscow’s true commitment to achieving peace.
