Esha Gupta breaks silence on Hardik Pandya link-up: 'Talked for months

Actress Esha Gupta has finally spoken out about her long-rumoured relationship with cricketer Hardik Pandya. In a candid chat with Siddharth Kannan, the Raaz 3 star revealed that while they were briefly in touch, things never developed into a full-fledged romance.

“Yeah, for some time we were talking. I don’t think we were dating, but we were at that ‘maybe it’ll happen, maybe it won’t’ stage. It ended before it began,” she clarified. “We met once or twice, that’s it. It was a couple of months and then it ended.”

Esha also addressed the controversy Pandya faced after his appearance on Koffee With Karan in 2019, where his remarks stirred backlash. By then, Esha confirmed, the two had already lost contact. “That part didn’t affect me, because we had already stopped talking,” she stated.

Although she had criticised the episode for its misogynistic tone back then, Esha now says she chose not to add to the outrage. “They were already going through enough. What good would it do if I jumped in with more criticism?”

Explaining why things didn’t move forward between them, she said she prefers meaningful, grounded relationships away from public attention—something she implied didn’t align with Pandya’s celebrity lifestyle.

On the work front, Esha was last seen in Ek Badnaam Aashram 3 Part 2 alongside Bobby Deol and played DCP Laxmi Rathi in One Day:Justice Delivered. Rumours suggest she might be joining the cast of Hera Pheri 3, though an official announcement is still awaited.
