Salman Khan announced as new owner of Delhi franchise
Bollywood’s ‘Dabangg’ superstar Salman Khan is now ready to make his mark on the cricket field. The actor has officially joined the Indian Street Premier League (ISPL), a fast-paced 10-overs-per-side tennis ball cricket league, as the owner of the Delhi franchise. The announcement was made on Wednesday, confirming Salman Khan’s latest venture into sports team ownership.
The ISPL, known for blending cricket with entertainment, has seen a surge in popularity. Its second season was a huge success, attracting over 28 million TV viewers — a 47% jump from its debut season.
The league already boasts a star-studded lineup of team owners, including Amitabh Bachchan, Saif Ali Khan, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Akshay Kumar, Suriya, Hrithik Roshan, and Ram Charan. With Salman Khan now on board, the ISPL’s glamour quotient has risen even higher.
